MULTIVERSE [SOLID]

Multiverse [Solid] has been one of our first experiments with the world of non-fungible tokens. This piece is a particular iteration of one of the scenes of Multiverseour audiovisual, immersive installation that premiered in 2018 and explores the evolution of infinite possible universes through the use of generative graphics and sounds. The work lays its foundations on Lee Smolin’s theory - observing that our universe is only one in a much larger cosmos (the Multiverse), a member of a growing community of universes, each one being born from the collapse following the formation of a black hole. The work evolves through the creation of a succession of digital paintings, attempting to represent the eternal birth and death of infinite parallel universes.

Just like the original visuals of the piece feature a very dynamic and large amount of particles, the shape featured in Multiverse [Solid] comprises 2.174.045 particles. The visualisation was originally created with openFrameworks, and then rendered as a 3D interactive point cloud.

The NFT was released on April, 20th, 2021. View it here.
